headline actress picture Sadness looms over the acting community as reports surface that 28 year old Heath Ledger has died. The actor was found lying face down on the floor of his Manhattan residence by his housekeeper Tuesday afternoon. Early suspicions point to the sleeping pills strewn around Ledger\'s bed as a possible cause of the death. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday. Ledger began his acting career in 1996, when he was 17, in an Australian TV series called Sweat. He quickly became one of Hollywood\'s most talented actors and he earned an Oscar nomination for his breakout role in 2003\'s Brokeback Mountain. His incredible rendition of The Joker in the upcoming The Dark Knight has received strong early reviews and he was currently in the middle of production on Terry Gilliam\'s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Ledger also made headlines with his two public relationships with actresses Naomi Watts and Brokeback co-star Michelle Williams. Their daughter, Matilda Rose, was born in New York on Oct. 28, 2005. Ledger and Williams, who shared a brownstone together in Brooklyn, split in September 2007.
